Friendship. Chemistry. Life.
Today I had the opportunity to travel to Newton, which is also the town I work in. There was this play entitled, "The Mystery of Irma Vep."
Now most times you hear that, you will think of a production involving many people. This play was a little different. The two actors, male, played all the parts. The reason I am blogging about it was the experience of seeing two people work, and the chemistry between them.
Now, in order to do this, it takes great skill to remember all the lines, and cues, and timing, and coordination, and enormous amount of energy. Yet, they made it look so easy, and they improvised as well during the show, which the audience found hilarious. The sets were really cool, and it was a gentle and amazing afternoon.
Laughter is truly medicine to the heart! During this time you kind of forget about things and live freely. As they say, you can learn a lot about people during play. When we play, we are, mostly, oblivious to the world around us and appear clear.
Chemistry. Getting along. Flowing together. Relationship. Walking together. It is mindful that God says how can two walk together unless they be agreed. Isn't that a microcosm of life. Finding people that walk along the same paths as you do. They might not take the same steps, or have the same size feet, or have the same pace/gate, but walking along the same route. How beautiful and pleasant for the brothers to walk together in unity.
I remember my best friend Maurice Boone in High School. We were a tag team, and I know many of us had a friend or a group of friends that we were inseparable from. It's so cool to have great relationships and friendships along the path of life. I always say you may lose a friend but you will always have the friendship.
You see friendships are the neat little gifts that we always carry along. You can call someone you haven't spoken to in years and talk as if you just got off the phone earlier. Friendship. Chemistry.
We all should thank God for the people called along side us in life that make this journey more "pleasant." Great job today by the cast of this play because they reminded us all how friendship, chemistry, and life blend in together.
