Everyone has a Choice... ...Most of Us Do because We Love... ...Don't Forget That

I generally, can talk about race and it's quite simple to me.  We are the human race.  Unlike the animal kingdom and the birds and the fish or mammals or any other kind of species living on the planet named Earth, we are the human race.  There is no other factual proof other than hyper-speculation and theory that can alter this fact. 

What makes us unique?

What differentiates us?

Why are are we so incomparable?

You answer those questions within.

What I am thinking about is the passage in the Bible that says one day many people of different areas on the earth will be joined together as one doing the same thing.  The first instance of this came in Genesis when the people were of one language and they basically did what they wanted.  When I do watch the world events today, in regards to this rioting, vandalism, anger, chaos, anarchy, and looting, I see a people as one and look what they do.

Do I see the reasoning behind this reaction.  Yes.  I completely understand the pent up disgust, frustration, anger, and indignation behind it.  When a group of people think as one it is amazing what can happen.  However, that can cut both ways.  The same way we can administer a form of justice that I assure you, people would not want to happen to themselves, we can find an alternative means of finding a solution.

Let me say this.  If rioting and looting was the cure to racial injustice, don't you think we would have burned this country to the ground many times over.  You can't change people's thought process by this.  It's the heart of the matter.  We can implement systems to ensure rights are protected but ultimately, it is humanity that will enforce and act out these processes.

Revelation 7:9 says there are many people, tongues, nations all together glorifying God.  I believe we are created for His Glory.  Even if you disagree, you will have to agree we are not here to destroy each other.  If you are humanistic to atheist to agnostic, tell me what happens when all are left to do their bidding with no deference for their fellow man?

Everyone has a choice.  When you get your dream job or a job, you do it because of love.  Whether that be love of self or family or materials, you are doing it because of love.  Most people will find an occupation even if it is out of necessity because of love.  We can argue over ill-advised statements and intentions of manufacturers of items but the point is that you will still buy the things you love regardless of whether you agree on the company's social position. 

Black Church.  White Church.  Brown Church. The Church.  Black people.  White people. Brown people.  All people.  All bleed.  All live.  All die.  All love.

The person you despise the most still loves.  It's hard to fathom but yes they love and are loved.  Love compels us.  Love defines us.  Love shapes us.  From the poor person in the ghetto to the scholar in the University.  Love is everywhere.  It is our views that are shallow and blind us to the fact that we are more alike than different.

Please remember when you are actively exercising your rights, that when you began you did it because of love.  Your love to remedy injustice.  Don't create more of it.  It's unjust to burn a store to the ground knowing it will impact other families.  You don't have to like the store or its owner.

If you really want to see justice and create a better world then remember the love for justice that caused you to act and spread that love where hate was or is.  No, everyone will not see it, but you will see it.

I am colored, black, brown, or whatever you designate, but I am human.  You are human.  Do what you do out of love, the same way you wake up and go to work, or kiss your child, or sit on a beach.  If more of us, white, black, or brown did that, then less of this will be necessary.  No amount of laws can make anyone change their heart.  It can restrict.  Not change.  If you want people to change, ask them and do your part to demonstrate that change.  It may or may not work, but what will not happen is you becoming the very thing you seek to change.

Don't forget that.
