To get to Your There you Must spend Many Moments in Your Here
I think when I started this blog, the first picture was looking out over the lake. The second picture is studying tonight. Getting to where you want to get in life is full of steps.
The other day I teleconferenced with author, Terence Pope, and he gave a presentation about progressing in life. What holds us back? What other horizons are there out there for you? Reaching out and exploring and how wavelength affects us. I thought it to be very interesting. We all say that we attract like minded individuals. Some say we are the sum of the five people we hang with the most. I don't know, but the one thing we all have is time. We have this moment or these moments, and then they are gone.
There is a time and place for everything under the sun, the bible declares. Time is fleeting. I wanted to do so much today and only got a portion done. Procrastination the enemy of all of us.
I guess that is why I am writing, plus I have been so busy, but was I really that busy? Redeeming the time as the day approaches that we might know the will of the Lord. How do we maximize our time and potential? Are we afraid of it. The fear of the unknown.
This much I do know: In order to get to that place on the lake, it will take time, focus, dedication, sacrifice, desire, commitment, relentless belief, repetition, hard work, networking, assistance, intestinal fortitude, and love. Love is what compels you forward. Reaching a desire is part of it. You want to get there because it is something you need, want, or love.
No matter what, it won't always happen today. It may not happen tomorrow. It will happen at some point. It will never happen if you don't start! It will never happen if you give up! It will never happen if you don't dream it! Most of all, it will never happen without you!
One of my quotes is this:
"I am here until I am somewhere else, then I am there. So I concentrate on here."
